Tricks and Treats and Haunted Train

Look Park teamed up with the Northampton Recreation Dept. once again to host Halloween Tricks and Treats this past Saturday.  We had great weather, great attendance and great fun.  The event had over 1,000 attendees coming to enjoy, face painting, a giant inflatable slide, fresh apple cider mashed and squeezed right there as well as arts and crafts, carnival games and sugar pumpkin painting.  Everyone had a great time, one child even commented to a friendly group of park patrons chatting while outside the event area “Hey, why don’t you come in here, there is all sorts of fun and activities!”

He, as well as all of the other attendees and staff enjoyed the day thoroughly!

The Haunted Train also opened on Friday Oct. 17th having over 350 riders on the first day and close to 1,200 for the weekend.  One of the best opening weekends we have had in a long time!  This event is such a fun event to witness and also put on.  Seeing all the children dressed in their costumes and anxiously awaiting the return of the train.  Some boasting that “I’m not scared, I’m 6 this year!!” while others still leary of the traditional spookiness. The event draws great crowds and continues next Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24-26th from 5:30pm-8:30pm.  The Lions club is on hand selling hot chocolate, hot cider, donuts and halloween cookies.  All proceeds, of course, going to charity.  Click the following link for more HAUNTED TRAIN INFORMATION including prices and times.
