Haunted Train Wrap-up
Well, it’s done. After five great days of weather (and one REALLY wet one!!) we had the final day of the Haunted Train last evening. This year’s train ride saw some great numbers and a whole lot of great fun.
Some new things that occured this year, Northampton Community Television was on hand during the first weekend filming a “behind the scenes” look at the Haunted Train and stayed for some filming and interviews of the event. This should prove to be a great re-cap for us and show all what is in store and more for 2009. Be on the lookout for that to air sometime soon. Also, a few of the volunteers who were chosen to cover the story, decided they had so much fun filming the event that they were going to leave the cameras at home and dress up and volunteer for a few of the nights that followed! Thanks to Dan and his friends for all of their help.
Unfortunately, being a night event the picture quality of the Park’s camera isn’t so great so there aren’t any “action” shots of the event worth uploading. I know that the NCTV people had camera’s and took some great audio and video. There is sure to be some great footage on that special. We are excited to see it!
Hope you all got a chance to come and visit the event, we had well over 2,000 people visit the event and handed out over 1500 goody bags to the children! The Ghouls and Goblins can’t wait to see you next year.
